Many of our admin team and group members participate regularly because they remember how hard it was to get started. To go against the grain first by pulling your kids out of school. And then find yourself resisting the push for ableist and coercive therapies. And even reaching out to the broader unschooling community for help and not finding your family reflected there.
It can be lonely, and a bit scary.
Your experiences, stories, successes, and challenges are welcome! We do keep the focus on unschooling advice, not ecclectic homeschooling, when responding to people’s questions. Unschooling plus a bit of math instruction is one example of ecclectic, or “almost unschooling”–both valid choices! Just not the advice we are giving in this group.
